Las lentes de contacto Paragon CRT y Paragon CRT 100 para tratamiento refractivo corneal producen una reducción
temporal de la miopía moldeando reversiblemente la curvatura de la córnea. Las lentes de contacto Paragon CRT
y Paragon CRT 100 han sido fabricadas con Paragon HDS y Paragon HDS 100, respectivamente. Una suave
reducción de la curvatura de la córnea puede reducir la potencia excesiva del ojo miope. Si se controla de manera
precisa el índice de corrección de la córnea, tal como pretende el diseño de las lentes CRT, es posible orientar al ojo
hacia un enfoque correcto y compensar completamente la miopía. Una vez que se retiran las lentes de contacto, la
córnea conserva su forma alterada durante todas o casi todas las horas en que el paciente permanece despierto. Las
lentes están diseñadas para su uso nocturno y posterior retirada durante el día. Las lentes Paragon CRT y Paragon
CRT 100 deben ser utilizadas por la noche de manera regular para mantener la corrección de la córnea o, de lo
contrario, reaparecerá la miopía anterior al tratamiento.
